Project Overview

Where's my Cheese? A small mouse in a big house. Collect cheese to progress through levels while avoiding threats as fast as possible. Hide in tunnels, eat some cheese, and just try and survive in this simple 3D stealth puzzle game.

Created initially as a sixth form project in a 2 week time frame, this project was refurbished withing 2 months as a solo developer to show off what I've learnt while also re-learning Unity and C# scripting

Development Focus

This project encompassed several key areas of game development:

  • Level Design: Detailed creation of the game environment and map layout to enhance the player experience.
  • Mechanics: Development and implementation of game mechanics, including tunnels and enemy behavior.
  • User Interface (UI): Design and integration of in-game UI elements that fit into a same theme of cheese.
  • Script Creation: Extensive use and re-learning of C# code for game logic and interaction.

Skills Developed

  • Unity 6 Expertise:  Advanced proficiency in Unity 6, particularly in C# scripting, level design, and UI integration.
  • Game Mechanics Design: Strong ability to conceptualize and implement engaging game mechanics.
  • UI/UX Design: Competence in designing user interfaces that are intuitive and enhance the player experience while staying aligned with the game theme.
